Troup Society 2017, z.s.

The society was founded and registered as a civic association in 2004. According to Article 3 of the society's statutes, its goal is to comprehensively enhance the artistic legacy of the painter and illustrator Miloslav Troup. To achieve this goal, the society organizes exhibitions, promotional events, publishing publications and other activities supporting public interest in the legacy of Miloslav Troup.

The name of the Society contains a reference to the year 2017. This is because in this year, the centenary of the birth of Miloslav Troup, the first stage of the Society's work culminated. This was a series of exhibitions in visible cultural centers. The highlight of this series was a large retrospective exhibition that took place in the summer months in the Municipal House in Prague.

The company aims to bring together owners of individual works and larger collections of works by Miloslav Troup. To assist with their preservation and adjustment, to provide consulting services for possible restoration or other care. The company cooperates with experts and obtains their opinions on individual works and on Troup's artistic legacy as a whole.

The company is trying to expand the circle of supporters and interested parties. It organizes information meetings, guided tours of the estate, etc. for them. This creates a platform for exchanging opinions, collecting and further disseminating the information obtained so that it reaches the largest possible number of interested parties. To this end, traditional media and new technologies are used, especially all possibilities of Internet communication.
